Rick Lucas joined the Spantech group of companies in 1983 as an apprentice carpenter. During his career with Spantech he has been promoted from Foreman to Site Supervisor, Project Manager and since 2008, Spantech’s Construction Manager.
Rick has project managed a number of sports and aquatic centre projects including Trinity College Sports and Aquatic Centre ($7.2 m) and Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre ($14 m).
Rick is responsible for the design and construction of Spantech’s major Defence facilities such as explosives storehouses and other hardened earth-covered buildings. Rick recently completed the RAAF Base Williamtown project that will support the Joint Strike Fighter F35 ($14 m).
