Spantech successfully completed a state-of-the-art multi-purpose sports facility for Trinity Catholic College Lismore.
The $8.2 Million dollar facility was opened on the 16th of June, 2006 by the Deputy Prime Minister, The Hon Mark Vaile MP.
Trinity is an Independent Co-educational Secondary College with a total of 1,300 students. It has a proud tradition of educational excellence and strives to provide facilities to match.
When original tenders exceeded the expected budget Trinity negotiated with Spantech and project partner architects, Facility Design Group, to redesign the facility to meet their budget.
By incorporating the cost saving efficiencies of the Spantech Construction System the architects and Spantech provided a stunning, yet affordable solution for the College.
The resulting 3480 square metre facility features a number of Spantech curved roofs, the widest being a 36 metre clear span.
Almost every Spantech Panel type was employed including the 370 Series for the wide span curved roofs, the 300 Series for flat roofs and wall panels, with Spanform used for suspended concrete floors in the stage, plant room and mezzanine areas.
The building includes an impressive array of multi-purpose educational spaces and support facilities:
