Design and construct a multi-purpose shade structure |
Covering four existing basketball and netball courts, the Multi-Purpose Covered Court provides a wide range of all weather sporting options for the school.
Eave height was calculated to ensure the playing envelope suited all sports to be played in the area without the need for excessively tall side columns. The height is achieved by the curve of the roof, minimising structural steel costs.
The five tiered grandstand overlooks the main oval and will seat approximately 800 students. It is covered with the Spantech Series 370 straight panel. The grandstand has wheel chair access and direct access to all the covered playing courts.

Design and construct a multi-purpose shade structure at the entrance of the school |
Spantech designed and constructed a 20 x 20m shade structure to provide a multi-purpose learning area and a safe, weatherproof waiting area at the front of the Carbrook campus.
The building is constructed over a former creek and required extensive ground works, drainage and special footings to ensure a sound, weatherproof structure.
Landscaping work was completed by Tony Spencer and the excellent grounds staff at the school.
