Spantech Shade Structures

All Weather Protection for Sport and Play

Some things need to happen rain or shine.

Spantech provides an attractive, low maintenance alternative to shade cloth or industrial sheds.

A frameless curved panel spans between two rows of columns to form a simple all weather solution with numerous possibilities.

Spantech designs individual structures based on the needs of clients, the available space or existing infrastructure and the budget.

Shade Structures have been constructed for a number of schools in Queensland and New South Wales, for both private schools and state schools alike.

Spantech Shade Structures are commonly used for:

  • basketball and netball courts
  • children's play areas
  • outdoor classrooms
  • eating areas
  • assembly areas
  • swimming pool shade covers and
  • horse riding arenas

Sizes may go from covered walkways of a few metres to 40 metre spans (wide) and any required length. Minimum size is about 300 sq metres (conditions apply).

The arch is roll formed from colorbond steel and is self supporting without need of interior trusses. It provides a pleasant appearance, maximizes space under the roof, eliminates roosting places for birds and maintains the feel of the outdoors.
