Spantech has a range of agricultural buildings specifically designed to store potatoes, a variety of grains and other bulk produce in optimum condition for sustained periods.

Produce can be economically stored either on-farm, at processing facilities or at ports for import or export.

In 2009 Spantech continues to lead the market in efficient potato storage. The most recent 11,000 tonne facility in currently being build in Ashburton, New Zealand. This will be the 25th potato storage project Spantech has completed, one for each year of the companies' operation.

Now used across Australia and New Zealand, these facilities have proven to be the most economical long life potato storage solution. Spantech's end-to-end storage system will store potatoes without degradation for up to nine months.

Spantech Grain Storage facilities are one of the most economical solutions for permanent long term bulk grain stores.

Storage capacity ranges from simple on-farm sheds storing a few thousand tonne, to complete bulk handling solutions suitable for national grain handling companies.

Designs can be ground-to-ground as pictured (right) or with a curve roof supported on pre-cast concrete walls up to 6 metres high. In both cases grain can be loaded directly against the side and end walls to maximise storage capacity.

The Spantech stores are a versatile option for on-farm storage. Customers have constructed Spantech grain stores to stock pile a percentage of the harvest for sale to direct clients or future improved market prices.

When on-farm stores are empty, the building can accommodate harvesting and mechanical equipment to extend the life of expensive machinery.
