Building the Education Revolution (BER) begins this year, with the Australian government providing $14.7 billion for infrastructure projects in Australian schools.
With a unique construction system suited to wide span buildings, a track record of successful education projects and a range of design options for schools, Spantech is well placed to help schools get the most from their allocated funding.
The company has previously completed a number of multipurpose halls, sports court shade structures and covered outdoor learning areas (COLAs) using the distinctive Spantech curved roofing system.
Spantech is now working with Architects and schools to design projects which qualify for funding under the BER guidelines, based on Spantech's successful designs:
- Multipurpose Halls
(indoor sport, assembly halls, etc)
- Gymnasiums
(dedicated training centres)
- Indoor sporting centres
(covered basketball / netball courts)
- Assembly areas
(general covered areas)
- Covered outdoor learning areas
(COLAs)
For Architects, Spantech's in-house design team can help meet the deadlines for BER projects or provide the Engineering required to maximise the efficiencies of the Spantech System. Spantech is currently working with a number of Architects on BER projects under a variety of contractual models:
- Negotiated Design and Construct
(under a supervising Architect)
- Nominated Subcontractor
(engineering design, supply and erect structural steel and Spantech roof)
- Design and Construct Tender
Spantech is only available to work on BER projects in NSW and Qld.
